Cold has become the way America drinks coffee year round. Cold drinks now account for roughly three-quarters of U.S. beverage sales at Starbucks, the country’s largest coffee chain, up from less than half just a few years earlier. But at home, cold coffee drinkers have been left to improvise: steeping overnight, buying bottled cold brew, or pouring hot coffee over ice and accepting a watered-down cup.
