Accuris today introduced Accuris Connect, bringing trusted engineering and supply chain intelligence to the point of decision, inside the systems and workflows where technical work already happens.
Under the Accuris Connect umbrella, Accuris Connect for Engineering Workbench brings governed standards and requirements into the PLM and ALM tools where design work happens: Teamcenter, Windchill, Polarion and Codebeamer. Accuris Connect for Supply Chain Intelligence gives organizations access to verified parts and bill of materials intelligence through APIs they can use in the applications and workflows they build and manage.
“Accuris Connect represents a significant expansion in both the scope of what Accuris delivers and the role we can play for customers. By bringing standards, requirements and supply chain intelligence to the point of decision, we are building a broader, scalable technology foundation that connects systems, teams and decisions across the product lifecycle. It gives customers a more connected way to design, build and sustain complex products,” said Claude Pumilia, Chief Executive Officer, Accuris.
Three problems engineering teams recognize
Standards sit outside the PLM and ALM tools where design and requirements work happens, so engineers leave the workflow to find, check and re-key them. When a standard is revised or withdrawn, nothing in the design record says so, and work continues against a superseded edition. And because there is no traceable link from a requirement to the standard behind it, impact analysis is manual and nobody can quickly show at review or audit which edition a design relied on.
Component decisions face the same pattern. Lifecycle, compliance, sourcing and risk status keep changing after a part is chosen, and problems surface at design freeze, in production or in the field, when a change costs the most.
Accuris Connect addresses all three: teams work from the authoritative source rather than a stale copy, keep a traceable thread from their work to the standards and parts behind it, and see change coming before it is expensive to act on.
“Every design relies on standards, yet in most design records a standard is not a managed object. It is a PDF attached to a requirement or a number typed into a field, and the only thing that knows which edition applies, or that it changed last quarter, is an engineer’s memory. Accuris Connect makes the standard a managed object: identified by edition, linked to the requirements and parts that depend on it, and flagged when that edition changes. The standard is still the standard. The difference is that the design now knows it,” said Duane Newman, Chief Product Officer, Accuris.
One Accuris strategy, two connection paths
The two offerings use different integration models because they address different workflow needs. Engineering Workbench connects with named PLM and ALM platforms. Supply Chain Intelligence is delivered through APIs for customer-built applications and processes. In both cases, the result is the same: decisions made on the authoritative source, a thread from the work back to its evidence, and change seen early enough to act on cheaply.
Standards and requirements in the engineering workflow
Accuris Connect for Engineering Workbench lets engineers reach governed standards information from within Teamcenter, Windchill, Polarion and Codebeamer. In PLM workflows, the connector creates a managed object with the standard designation, applicable edition, publication status and a stable Accuris identifier. That record is the start of a digital thread, linking the design and requirement to the standard behind it, so the answer at review or audit already exists rather than being reconstructed.
The source standard remains in Engineering Workbench and is rendered on demand, so existing entitlements continue to control access and each view remains traceable. Where the connector supports it, teams are also given visibility when the edition behind a requirement changes.
In supported ALM workflows, structured requirements are connected to the source clauses that informed them, subject to applicable publisher rights.
Engineering Workbench provides access to more than three million standards and regulations from more than 1,000 standards organizations and content publishers.
Supply chain intelligence in customer-built workflows
Accuris Connect for Supply Chain Intelligence provides verified parts and bill of materials intelligence through APIs, embeddable widgets and MCP server. Development teams can bring component, compliance, sourcing and risk insight into the applications and workflows their organizations build or manage, while the customer’s system remains the master record.
Component choices carry current evidence rather than a snapshot from a spreadsheet, status changes can be checked while acting on them is still inexpensive, and the data behind each bill of materials decision is there when someone asks why a part was chosen. Accuris holds more than 1.3 billion component records with more than 98 percent verified data accuracy.
Availability
Accuris Connect for Engineering Workbench is already available for Teamcenter and Windchill. It is now generally available for Polarion and Codebeamer beginning October 6, 2026. Accuris Connect for Supply Chain Intelligence is already in market with continuous updates. Parts data and BOM Intelligence workflows are available via APIs, Widgets and MCP.
Emily Hartman, Sr. Director of Product Management, will demonstrate Accuris Connect for Engineering Workbench in PLM and ALM environments on Thursday, October 15 at noon ET. Registration is available at https://accuristech.com/webinars/how-to-reach-standards-without-leaving-your-plm-or-alm/.
