Threekit Launches AI-Native CPQ for Manufacturing: Built for the Web, Built for Dealers, Built for the AI Age

PR Newswire

From the team behind BigMachines (now Oracle CPQ) and SteelBrick (now Salesforce CPQ), a new approach to CPQ that lets reps, dealers, customers and websites quote complex products as easily as having a conversation.

CHICAGO, Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Threekit today announced the launch of Threekit AI-Native CPQ, a configure-price-quote platform built from the ground up for AI and the way manufacturers and B2B companies sell today.

Legacy CPQ was built for order entry

Traditional CPQ assumes users already know the exact requirements, products, and options to complete an order.

That has worked for trained expert users entering orders. It doesn’t work when the buyer or seller doesn’t know exactly what to order.

The result is familiar: reps and dealers rely on product experts to translate customer needs into the right configuration, quotes move through multiple handoffs, and inputs like photos, voice notes, specifications and RFPs don’t naturally fit into a fixed configuration flow.

Also, traditional CPQ largely never made it to the web. It was built for trained internal users, not customers trying to figure out what to buy on their own.

“We built the last generation of CPQ. We know exactly where it breaks,” said Matt Gorniak, CEO at Threekit. “Traditional CPQ assumes you already know what to order. Most buyers and sellers actually don’t. That’s why manufacturers still need experts involved in so many quotes. We started over with AI at the core so a rep, a dealer or a customer can simply describe what they need and get to a valid solution. And they want it in a consumer-like AI experience: it;s easy and performs a valuable task, accurately.

AI-native CPQ starts with the goal. Solve the problem first.

Threekit takes a different approach.

Instead of forcing the user through a predetermined path, the user tells Threekit what they’re trying to accomplish.

Threekit interprets the request, performs the Needs Analysis, recommends a solution and checks it against the manufacturer’s products, pricing and business rules.

The result is CPQ that is dynamic and conversational on the front end, while remaining governed by the company’s product catalog and rules underneath.

Threekit was built to make manufacturers and B2B enterprises easier to buy from, and that’s important. A 2024 McKinsey B2B Pulse Survey of 4000 B2B decision makers revealed “More than half of our survey respondents say they are likely to turn elsewhere if they don’t have a smooth experience across channels.”

CPQ that powers web leads with AI agents

AI-native CPQ changes where CPQ can live.

The same intelligence used by sales reps can run directly on a manufacturer’s website, helping customers understand what fits their needs, configure the right product and get to a quote-ready solution through an AI sales agent.

Instead of a static product catalog or lead form, the website can now do the work of a knowledgeable sales rep.

One leading window and door manufacturer doubled its leads after launching a Threekit-powered buying experience on its website.

CPQ for dealers and reps

Dealers and sales reps don’t need to start with perfect product inputs.

They can give Threekit what they already have – a specification, photo, voice note, RFP or description of the project – and the system can turn that information into a valid product recommendation and quote.

A leading commercial plumbing manufacturer now produces quotes four times faster using Threekit.
